BIOLOGY


 

Mission

To train professionals of excellence and a highly competitive level in Biology, capable of applying their knowledge and skills to face and solve the challenges of the current and future scientific environment. Likewise, the degree encourages the student to scientific research in its different areas. It seeks to generate knowledge and extend it to the community, taking it to its application in the scientific, academic and social fields. All this in order to improve the quality of life in the local, regional, national and international environment. Finally, it encourages cultural values, ethical sense, social responsibility and respect for the environment at every step.

Vision

The Biology program has the vision of the Faculty of Sciences in which it is seen as a degree recognized for the competitiveness and comprehensive training of its graduates, highlighted by the quality and validity of its study plans that respond to the demand of the field scientist from the various sectors of society and industry in the local and national environment. In the teaching activity, it seeks to have high levels of training of academic staff with postgraduate degrees, incorporated into the National System of Researchers and Prodep Profile, taking advantage of the links and agreements with sectors dedicated to science for the training and constant updating of academics, which It has a favorable impact on students, thus contributing to scientific and intellectual production. The Biology student is highlighted by his competitiveness, professional ethics and his commitment to respond to the changing realities of his environment.

Objectives

To train high-level professionals in Biology, capable of satisfying the needs of the labor market at the local, national, and international levels, with an entrepreneurial attitude with responsibility and ethical commitment.
Promote the incorporation of students in carrying out research projects, technological development and academic mobility that contribute to scientific and innovative progress in the area of ​​natural and exact sciences.
