    Mission

    The mission of the program is to train professionals of excellence and a highly competitive level, capable of applying their knowledge and skills in physics to face and solve the challenges of the scientific, academic, social and industrial environments, with an ethical, creative attitude, solidarity with society and respecting the environment.

    Vision

    The vision of the Physics Degree program is to be recognized nationally for the quality and comprehensive training of its graduates. The program has maintained its accreditation and its curriculum updated. Both respond to the demand of the various sectors of society, academia and industry in the local, national and international environment. The academic staff in its entirety has the degree of doctor, the Preferential profile of the Program for the Professional Development of Teachers of the SEP (PRODEP), the distinction of the National System of Researchers (SNI) and is integrated into consolidated Academic Bodies. The program has equipped and certified laboratories to serve students and academics in both teaching and research activities.

    Objectives

    1. Promote the scientific and technological development of the country through the training of human resources capable of solving problems in the area of Physics through the use of analytical and experimental methods to explain and understand the phenomena of nature.
    2. Promote linkage and collaboration schemes with the public, social and business sectors with high impact on the labor market at the local, national, and international levels, with an entrepreneurial attitude and capable of transforming their environment with responsibility and ethical commitment.
    3. Encourage the cultural, artistic and sports offer, contributing to the comprehensive training of students and academics, thereby improving their health and social well-being, as well as involving them in science dissemination and promotion activities.
